FAQ

Common questions

Who should attend media training?

Anyone who may speak to the media on behalf of the organisation, from the chief executive to subject-matter experts who are quoted in coverage.

Who conducts Black Dot’s media training sessions?

Our training is delivered by former senior journalists and editors, as well as seasoned communications advisers who have spent years in Singapore’s media ecosystem. They bring a keen awareness of how journalists formulate questions, test a spokesperson’s composure, and structure their stories.

Do you offer one-on-one executive coaching and group workshops?

Yes. We conduct bespoke one-on-one coaching for C-level executives, founders and board members, as well as half-day or full-day workshops for subject-matter experts and corporate communications teams.

My spokesperson is lined up for an interview but is not prepared. Do you offer quick media briefings and preparation?

Yes. We can provide just-in-time media training that prepares spokespeople for a specific event or crisis. These sessions can include one-on-one coaching and live playback, so spokespeople practise staying on message under pressure.
